Our impromptu field trip…
With the looming storm today, I decided that it would be perfect timing to head out for a little field trip! The kids all agreed on going to Lynde Shores, to see what kind of wildlife is out in the middle of winter. Not only did we have Chickadees lining up to land on our hands- but these little woodpeckers were everywhere! Usually when we go in the summer, they want nothing to do with us. But today, they were all over the peanuts we were offering! Keona was a little nervous that they were going to peck her at first. Not like fearless Ella, who continued chasing the geese, even after being bitten on the forehead…
