Water

water watch

Without it, we are dead. The most valuable, precious, needed, popular, useful, powerful, busy, substance in the universe today is water. And yet, oppose to what some vain minds would like to remember, water is condensed to a very small part of our universe. Focused, it seems to be, directly on us; we, who so desperately need it, for all that we are and do.

Everything we make takes water. Water to cool the metal. Water to grow the plants. Water to make brick, lumber, fuel, metal, machines, and even people. Born, we are, of water; walk we do, filled with it; and eventually, submerged into the damp depths of earth, to rest dried in a box, separated from its life.

Wars are won by starving a people for water. Countless lives are lost everyday because of the powerful corruption it can hold within its invisible pockets. It can sooth the burn, and quench the flame. It can fuel the very system of life that we daily enjoy and take for granted. It pours freely from our sky, as we gripe at its arrival. It cleanses the corruption of this life, we wash in it, and consume it freely without thought. Perhaps, if we shared most of the world’s fate, walking nearly half the day, to fetch the family’s water, maybe then we would be so as we should to consider that which is given. Water is a gift.

Physically, water is a miracle. To have such perfect alignment of such volatile substance, and yet to use that very concoction to cure flames. It’s beyond the simple man to imagine the sense of pouring two of the most combustible materials available onto fire. Yet, we keep close to the fire the pail of water, as we camp in the bush.

Water conducts power, because of what’s within it. Its uses to our world, we have only begun to unlock. It is like a giant net of wire connecting the entire planet constantly as one. Without it, we find wasteland, and yet even there, creatures carry its life giving drips.

Not just any water will do though. We must have pure water. For water is the universal solvent: capable of absorbing nearly anything given circumstance. Water must be pure to function for man. Salt is good, but to salt the water is to eventually kill the drinker. No, we must have a very specific balance, and we must have a lot of it. Without it, you will die.

Have you been thankful for the water you’ve tasted of today?

Water is not only a gift; it is an example. For we, as much as we need water, as human beings, must have truth. And not just any truth will do. We must have pure truth. We must have unhampered, unreserved, unedited, life changing, spiritual truth. No substitute will do. No inaccuracy will comply. If we stray to far from its source, our symptoms will be obvious. Hallucinations, disease, our vital organs will shut down, and eventually, without truth, our souls will die. Knowing the truth is like drinking fresh water.

Water is boring. But not when you’re thirsty. In spite of its lack of excitement, I would rather taste nothing but pure truth until the day I die then drink poison for the sake of pleasure. Consume it, and often, and bask in the sunlight of life being fully hydrated with truth. Though the day may seek to dry your soul, and leave you dead, out of your reserves flows amply that substance which can counter. Rivers of living water from within, pure, clean, fresh, stored, for such a dry season as we face in this world today, are awaiting the one who drinks long and deep at the fountain of life: truth.

What is truth?

Truth is the combination of two very volatile substances, miraculously mixed for the benefit of the universe. Truth is holiness; truth is love. Truth is mercy and justice combined. Truth is alive, and yet truth is immortal, eternal, and is the very source for life itself. What is truth? The Word of God is truth. The written word - in the book; the Spirit of the word - about the book; and the personal word - robed in human flesh; Jesus Christ, the truth.

Without the waters of truth, life would not exist. And yet, in this day when we look towards a new beginning on the horizon, truth ever rings, springing up within us, crying, I am the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Come, drink of truth freely.”

Have you had your glass of truth today?

Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

~ John 4:14, 7:38

And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

~ Isaiah 58:11
