Think

It is an expensive task, thought is. For, one thought could change everything.

When was the last time you just sat and thought? The world today would advertise an emptied mind; but might I uplift the opposite, as an empty mind is no mind at all. The reason you have a mind is so that you would think.

Amusement is the opposite of thought. Have you ever wondered why this modern, super educated, witty, supposedly evolved, and technologically superior humanity in which we walk invests itself so in removing itself from deep, truth fed thought? I would wager its efforts are a result to cater to a void vain people that would rather close their eyes on the way down then figure out how to open the parachute. We seem to be an entire generation of people that would rather stare at something shiny than think about anything true. I must admit, I am no judge in the matter. Rather, I am among you as the guilty of this very day, which would rather waste the day, then consider it.

Puppies don’t think. A puppy sees the shoe, smells the shoe, tilts its head thirty degrees to the left at the shoe, and then chews the shoe to death. All the while, the little devil knows when he gets caught he’s going to get a rolled up newspaper and a cold porch. Yet, why think about that while you’re enjoying the shoe right? But when the door opens, and the puppy comes to greet you with his tail between his legs, all that shoe chew comes to a head. Maybe he should have thought about that earlier. Funny though, the older they get, hopefully, the better they get at thinking about it beforehand.

We are busy on purpose. We don’t take time to stop and think, because we don’t want to stop or think. Our agendas, for the average normal person, are arranged like a politician. When is the last time you took a walk in a field and just looked around for an hour? Why not just sit and think a little?

Why is the problem. Why can be a dangerous question. If you ask it too much, it may take you to a thought you had spent a lifetime avoiding. Billions are spent, and billions are taught, to come up with and propagate an excuse that gives us the excuse we have always been looking for. Nearly everyone simply replies, “I would rather not think about it.” You’re an idiot not thinking. An idiot Not thinking like a dog that would rather chew, or a person jumping out of an airplane with a parachute but refusing not just to open it, but to even consider opening it. Think. Choose to think. Just because you refuse to open your eyes doesn’t make you blind.

Might I be the more bold.

Think about it. There is a God, and we simply ignored the possibility. The Bible is the truth, and we refused to think about it. And we run to and fro from amusement to amusement distracting ourselves with the blindness self-inflicted, simply because we know what thinking would mean.

Today I urge you, think about your God, for He is thinking about you.

Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: - Rom 1:19-20

For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. – 2 Pet 3:5,9

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. – Rom 5:8
